Garrick's Temple to Hampton Court

Then there were three, yes we are getting thin on the ground now
Jules, myself and Mark were the brave souls who paddled
out onto the fast flowing Thames.

 

The Thames was flowing quite fast as we pushed out way up past
Hampton Court Palace and on to the main Molesey lock
Ten paddling around Taggs Island, Bird Island and Garrick’s Ait
then turning back just before Bens Island to take advantage
of the downstream current taking us back to the pub.

The Road to Hell Paddle

There were due to be seven of us but as the weather forecast got progressively worse, one by one our numbers reduced almost in unison until it was just the three of us, Mark, Ian and myself.

We could have just gone in the pub but we couldn't do that, so on we went, all the way to the M25 and back

Nightlife in Guildford

Last Paddle of 2014

Only the Brave and Foolhardy need apply
It was a crisp -5° paddle and 7 brave souls succumbed to the calling:  

Sarah, Terry, Ali, Mark, Steve, Paul and myself                                  

We kicked off from the pub on time at 09:00 and headed upstream
then a relaxing paddle back to the pub for bacon sarnies
